would you like some tea?

With some cream and sugar perhaps? Or lemon and honey? I heart high tea parties. Do you? Aren’t they so fun?

I come  from a very tea-centric family. While we consume several cups of tea throughout the day, afternoon tea is my favorite. Usually accompanied by light snacks, this is also the time for family and friends to catch up. From dressing up the table, selecting the flowers, china, the tea cozy, the silver and of course the assortment of teas, hors d’oeuvres, sandwiches and tarts, I love all the fuss about it.

My obsession for tea posts has naturally extended to tea cups. I have been taking pictures of them like crazy lately I posted one earlier today. While I have a long way to go, I thought you might enjoy my inspiration. Ohhh I have missed you all! How about a cuppa or two together?

  • These are beautiful pictures! Argentina also has tea time and I always loved it. I also love teacups. I’ve taken pictures of them recently…they’re on my Flicker account…where they hang out; )

I haven’t done tea time in a while and I certainly miss it. Your family’s tea time sounds fun.

    Have a lovely night!

    • Beatriz, I was lucky enough to enjoy tea time in argentina as well. I loved it soo much. I need to check out your pictures. thanks

  • All of these are beautiful pictures! My mother loves having high teas, and I’ve been happily exposed to all the little details of them.

  • Ooooh.. Am almost a chai addict and these pics made me sigh..
The pic of the flute chair and table with its pot of tea is soooo pretty that it makes you think of lazy afternoons with nothing but a cup of tea.
Btw, I love your blog! Been here for a month, but HAD to delurk for the tea post 🙂

  • Lovely collection Manvi! I like the ones that are filled with other things as well. You’ve seen the photo with the beautiful tea cups in a drawer – filled with jewelry/accessorizes? I can’t recall where I saw it at the moment but it’s been around the blogosphere so you’ve probably seen it.
    Have a lovely weekend!
