Would you like to peek into my dining room? It is still very much a work-in progress but this is what it looks like right now.
What I love most about this room is that it opens out to a deck overlooking our yard. The French doors and a window bring in tons of sunshine all day long and I really enjoy spending time here. There is also where I blog, style tablescapes, work on projects, eat meals, and of course, entertain.
I like keeping the color palette on the neutral side and playing around with colorful/ seasonal accessories.
Over the weekend, I found this armchair at my local good will store for under $40. Sturdy, comfy and in surprisingly good condition, all it needs is a facelift with new fabric, fill and paint. It makes a great head dining chair.
I simply love having cozy dining chairs and am glad this new find works so well as one. Am toying with a few fabric options to have it reupholstered in and possibly having it tufted like the other dining chairs. What do you think? For colors, I am still a bit undecided. What would you suggest?
I found this tray at the thrift store, for like $5. Isnt it gorgeous?

Beautiful girl, beautiful room!
I am looking forward to going shopping with you! You are sooo good, Manvi!
How about a stripey chair? I look at those black candlesticks and I see black and white stripes as a contrast to the tufted ones.
I am signing off for the week.
Wishing you and Paul a Happy Easter! Any fun plans?
Love,
Mon

Lovely Manvi! I just love the tray and items displayed on it!x
Your tray is so pretty… There is an old tapestry series of the french 16th century that remind me of your tray design; take a look if you feel like: http://www.pbase.com/bmcmorrow/image/101046075
