One of the first steps for our walk-in closet project, which involves pretty much the entire master bedroom, is picking a wall paint color. I am drawn to softer romantic palettes in bedrooms. A bit of glamor and luxury with a casual feel. I also like versatility and the option to change/update things easily. With this in mind, I am inclined to white walls and crisp white bedlinen but dont want the room to lack drama.
For the most part, or as much as I can help it, I want to use things I already own. Our bed is a king ikea malm with matching side tables in brown/black. It pairs well with the cow hide rug from Argentina which has shades of brown, white and cream . I want to add a chandelier above the bed at some point. The room is flooded with natural light and I’d like to make the best use of that.
This weekend, I am going to buy some paint samples to try on the walls. Would love suggestions and comments from you.
