I guess more than my love for the color grey in interiors, the weather {grey+ overcast} dictated this post. What I like about using an unconventional yet sophisticated color like grey for interiors is how it makes the other colors pop. Use it in combination with shades of yellow {remember this and this?}, red, purple and my current obsession orange!
Enjoy!
This first pic is what inspired me to paint our living room grey. I just love how it makes our white brick fireplace pop.

Oh, I am so with you on this! Grey is a fabulous colour (as we could see from your gorgeous bathroom reno as well!).
I love the three rooms you featured from André Schievink’s home – he really has used grey in a wonderful way (xuse the rhyme..), and the room with the fireplace is my favourite. He designed that fireplace hood himself b.t.w. – it’s made out of cured leather. So great!
Have a lovely week!

P.S. I did a post on André Schievink recently – it’s filed under ‘interiors’ on my blog. xx
What is not to love! Being a native Swede, gray is part of my DNA. I have all shades of gray in my house – it is both, chic and timeless. And as you said – there are so many accent colors to play with. Simply lovely!
Cool….would love to see your place with the new paint job…post some pics..or do we have to wait to see it for ourselves?!
Hi there! I love that first picture with the white fireplace. Can you tell me what color/brand of paint you used on the wall?

I absolutely LOVE these colors! Will you please let me know what colors were used in the first and second picture? The darker color with the fire place and the lighter color on the wall in the dining area. I have been searching for the perfect shades to compliment one another in my first home and this is it. Thank you so much!
