When I moved into my new apartment, all I thought about was making the best of the high high ceilings witha lovely chandy or pendant light above a reclaimed wood dining table.
But the pros of having a large sectional couch {which dexter loves to spread out on} outweighed the pros of a large dining table. A charming 300 year old drop leaf table (below), that folds into a console when Im not entertaining, was a more practical alternative.
Still, I cant help drooling and dreaming of a dining room with marvelous light fixtures like these someday. If it were up to you, would you go for a large comfy couch or a large dining space?

Ditto. We have a folding table in our apartment as well but I’d love to have a drop pendant over it!
