Mommies-to-be (and daddies-to-be) take note of this clever couples baby shower.
I LOVE LOVE the idea of a couples baby shower. I mean it just makes more sense to have the father join in the celebration, dont you think? I know I would want my hubby, other family members and friends to be part of my baby shower.
Additionally, a co-ed baby shower would reduce the number of baby shower games if not eliminating them altogether.
Anyway, coming back to this “feather their nest” couples baby shower.
Firstly, the color palette is super gorge. And all the little details, that brought the look together, are not only elegant but thoughtful. Old childhood pictures and other memorabilia were used to personalize the space while creating an art exhibit. Fun!
It gets even better! After a co-ed cocktail hour, the boys left and headed next door for a private beer tasting, while the girls stayed back to open gifts and enjoy a seated brunch. the guys felt included but without having to sit through all the girly stuff. Best of both worlds if you ask me.
How adorable are the flower arrangements in bird cages?
And the feathers on the turquoise chiavari chair are super cute.
Baby socks in an egg carton! Awww..
The cake is my fav bit!

We had one of these (not NEARLY as stylish), and it was great fun – especially fun to see what guys brought at baby gifts!
Oh dear! this is the most inspiring thing ever. Now I want to have another baby just so I can do this!!! how cool!!! 🙂
this is so nice! love it!
My first baby shower (Oscar brewing) included Marshall and other men (not my ‘other men’.. :), and it was great. Now my dear husband so used to be ‘one of the girls’ and really loved the event, that was put on by a really chic ex-colleague of mine. It was of course about celebrating the life inside my massive ‘bump’ and I got the feeling Marshall saw it as an opportunity to celebrate ‘me’ for blessing him with a child. It was such a wonderful day.
Now this shower you show here is DIVINE!
The colours are insane as are the little details. The feathers.. – I am so copying that idea. Could be so cute for Easter too don’t you think!?
Socks in egg cartons are sold commercially here, but is also so easy to do at home. Such a cute idea.
Ok babes, I really have to get myself to bed. Slept a mere four hours last night.. time to catch up on pillow time.
xx Charl
