new kid on the block

If you follow me on twitter, you might know that I was in Palm Beach, Florida recently to test drive the world’s first all-wheel drive crossover convertible.

Nissan sent me an invitation to hop on a plane to Palm Beach, stay at oceanfront Omphoy Resort, enjoy delicious meals by Michelle Bernstein, and test drive a sexy CONVERTIBLE: the Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet.
Since I dont write about cars, I wasnt sure what to expect.  I mean I like cars, especially convertibles, so I was definitely curious. I accepted the invitation. And let me just say I am so glad I did. I had a great time, and actually really liked the car.
Several comments and thumbs up from strangers later my very sweet companion, Erin Loechner, and I agreed that it was a total people magnate.
It IS a sexy car: a happy blend of the thrill and enjoyment of a convertible with the benefits of driving a crossover.
The Nissan Murano CrossCabriolet is a soft drive, at least in comparison to my German SUV, with a powerful engine and excellent navigation system. Trunk capacity with the top down is 7.6 cubic feet, enough to fit two sets of golf clubs or two carry-on suitcases. With the top closed, cargo capacity expands to 12.3 cubic feet.
Available in a range of exterior colors such as Sunset Bronze, Platinum Graphite and Super Black and Caribbean, which is my fav. Other cool exterior features include: High Intensity Discharge (HID) bi-functional xenon projector headlights with auto on/off function, front fog lights and Nissan 370Z-inspired LED taillights.

Style and exterior looks aside, the 2011 Murano CrossCabriolet is offered in one fully equipped model: Bose 8-speaker audio system, keyless entry, ample legroom in the backseats, leather seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, the soft-top drops at the push of a single button are all included.

Competitively priced at $46,390 ( $500 more if you opt for the Camel or Cashmere interior), the Nissan Murano Cross Cabriolet is practical drive for those who love convertibles. Driving topless without compromising safety, luxury, and reliability.

Hermes scarf optional.
