After a mini-revamp of our basement kitchen, I am focusing my attention on our main kitchen redesign. Not sure when we are going to start that project but who’s to stop me from collecting inspiration?
Im drawn to white corian or marble countertops, glass backsplashes, chalkboard walls, and organic looking styles. The black and white photograph in pic 3 is killer!!

You are right about the picture ! I don’t know which rail station it is.. but it sure looks like Howrah Station from Calcutta (India)…This pic actually gave me an idea for one of my walls !!!

Oh la la.. yes, these kitchens are super chic. Just look at no 1 and that ceiling height. Such dynamic space! Loving the twigs too!
The timber detailing in no 2 is wonderful.
No 3 – Ellen Pompeo & Chris Ivery’s home in Hollywood right?! I love this house. In fact I did a whole post about it last year. It’s just wonderful throughout. Yum!
No 6 is to die for – Mamma Mia, just look at all that light!! I think this one is my favourite..! You know how us Swedish girls are with natural light.. 😉

So much to love in these images! Yes you are right, that photograph is a winner all round – this has got me thinking for a wall in my dining room that has been sitting vacant for over a year because I can’t decide what to do with it!

I just did a post about cheap backsplash alternatives and one was chalkboard paint. Being able to write menus, recipes (or grocery lists) on them in a kitchen setting reminds me of a bistro. I also love pot racks.
